Mt. Usu Ropeway
A one-way trip up is a 6-minute journey.
At the summit there are two observation areas. From the “Lake Toya Observation Deck” on the right side, you have a superior view of Mt.Showa-shinzan and Lake Toya far below. A 7-minute walk to the left brings you to the “Usu Crater Basin Observation Deck” from which you can observe the crater that caused a major eruption in 1977 and the rising steam from its vents. Be sure to take in this experience that lets you actively feel the breath of the earth.
Showa-Shinzan Bear Park
The Mt. Showa-Shinzan Bear Park where about 100 brown bears are bred.
In the farm, there is a cage that visitors may enter to safely feel the real bear’s presence and power up close.
A ten-minute drive from Lake Toya Onsen area.
Sailo Observatory
A bird’s eye view of the panoramic landscape in Lake Toya! On a sunny day you can clearly see Mt. Yotei. With a wide photo area available, even large groups can get a memorable snapshot!
It is also possible for you to partake in snow activities here during the winter.

An activity center to enjoy and experience canoeing and strap making.

Heading from the hot spring town of Lake Toya in the direction of Tsukiura, we are located off of the lakeside street.
Featuring the work of our ‘Graphics’ workshop, we use clean transparent glass that is free of impurities.
Displaying many creative pieces whose shape and mould are ingenious productions, and which have become overwhelmingly popular.
Lake Hill Farm
On the grounds, there is a gelato factory, restaurant, and shop where we produce gelato from fresh milk and make it directly available to customers.
What’s more, you can even have a try at butter and gelato making firsthand.
Soubetsu Fruit Village
‘Soubetsu Fruit Village’ is 23-house orchard neighbor to Soubetsu, which first became an open sightseeing plantation village in 1987.
As great number of people visit our sightseeing orchard, they delight in harvesting fruit as they get to enjoy the deliciousness of fresh-picked crop. In the end, feeling tranquility of the mind with an eye on cultivation of the town.

All across the 2 lakeside towns of Toya, Toyako-cho and Soubestu-cho, this is an encompassing gallery of art.
With 58 total pieces in all, extending 43 kilometres, it is called an ‘outdoor sculpture park of human and nature interaction’.
Visitors are able to enjoy a sense of Toya blowing new breath of life despite time passing by.
